If you are the parent of a child with SPD (sensory processing disorder), ADHD, Autism or any of the conditions that are considered on the spectrum then you understand the behavioral and academic challenges that come along with those diagnoses.  Maybe you feel like you are at the end of your rope because you have tried many different tactics to make the school days better, getting through homework time or attending a family function.

With these kiddos we generally see that they fall into one of two camps when it comes to behavior that affects them in their daily life.  The “raging bulls” are the kids that are hyperactive, impulsive, and prone to elevated behaviors. These kids tend to be incredibly smart, full of imagination and super creative.  While the “drunken bulls” tend to have fewer behavioral issues but can’t focus or concentrate and can to be very emotional. These kids are sweet, sensitive, want to do well in school and please their parents and teachers but don’t always have the tools to do so.  The important thing to remember is that these kids are not broken, but they do have interference between their brain and their bodies which makes it hard to deal with academic situations. The good news is that chiropractic can help restore the nervous system connections.

When a child with any of these challenges comes into our chiropractic office our job is to figure out what type of interference is in their nervous system.  We do this by using our insight technology scans to determine nervous system function by analyzing inflammation, muscle tension and adaptability to stress. By removing these interferences with gentle, safe and effective chiropractic adjustments the brain can develop new and better neurological connection.  We feel honored to help these kids and their families to live more connected lifestyles.

If this post is hitting home with you and these are normal challenges you face every day then we welcome you to come to our Perfect Storm event next Wednesday night, June 5th at Lolo’s Kitchen here in Hudson at 5:30.  We will dive deeper into the neurology of these kids, why these issues occur and how we can help your child.  Head over to the Croixview Family Chiropractic Facebook page, click on the event tab and all the information about the event is posted and you can RSVP. https://www.facebook.com/events/612384972572039/
