Let’s continue the conversation on what causes a subluxation. If you missed what a subluxation is, go back and read our subluxation blog, from June 24! When you read that blog, you’ll find that three things cause subluxation: thoughts, traumas and toxins! In our last blog, we talked about how our emotional stress impacts our nervous system. Go check that out here https://croixviewfamilychiropractic.com/2020/07/how-thoughts-affect-subluxation/! This time, we are going to talk about how traumas affect our nervous system!

Trauma is probably the most common cause of subluxation that people think of. A trauma is considered anything physical such as auto accidents, sports injuries, desk jobs, labor intensive jobs, babies and kids falling, and even the birth process. When these physical traumas occur, our spine takes all of the impact, shifting our bones out of place (by millimeters) and then sends mixed signals to the brain about how the body is moving!

When you get a chiropractic adjustment, it restores proper motion to the spine allowing the brain to communicate effectively with all the organs, glands, hormones, and muscles! It is important to get checked by a chiropractor especially after an accident (even if it seems small), if you sit or stand a lot for work and even right after your baby is born! This will ensure your system is functioning optimally!

It is our mission and passion to help the people of Hudson, WI and surrounding areas to live their life to the fullest potential through chiropractic care. Stay tuned for the next blog that will discuss the last cause of subluxation!
